The pain (before undergoing cold laser treatments) was steady and very bothersome in my right knee. The pain often prevented me from sleeping very well. I would wake up many times at night, and in the morning I could barely move around. I was unable to walk without a great deal of (knee) pain. Walking was very slow and painful. I could not go up or down stairs. I could not walk downhill or down a ramp without a great deal of difficulty. I went to the orthopedic surgeon that did arthroscopic surgery on my knee 5 years ago. He gave me a steroid injection, but it never really helped relieve the (knee) pain. The arthroscopic surgery removed some of my cartilage…, and my orthopedic surgeon told me I would probably need to have knee replacement surgery in the long term. I do not want to do that. (I can sleep at night without pain) I am very pleased with the reduction in my pain level. I would say my overall improvement is in the 75%-80% range. My knee is also much more flexible than before (treatments). I believe that following the exercise plan (that Dr. Schnee gave me my knee) will improve even more.
