Former Knee Pain Sufferer No Longer Skeptical about Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Therapy Program for Knee Pain
Mr. Gary E. came to Dr. Schnee’s office complaining of severe knee pain in both knees. He was in so much pain that he was ready to tell his orthopedic doctor to go ahead and do knee replacements with him. Fortunately, Gary’s wife found Dr. Alexandra Schnee, D.C. on the internet, read about her Cold Laser Knee Program, and requested information to be sent to her husband.
Gary was extremely skeptical at first, but after talking with Dr. Schnee and some of the other patients in her office he decided to start care.
This is what he had to say about his knee pain, and the experience he had in Dr. Schnee’s office…
“My knee pain was totally unbearable! I was using my tool cart at work like it was a walker. My knee pain was so intense that I had trouble concentrating on anything. I couldn’t get out of my chair, had trouble getting out of bed and I couldn’t climb stairs or ladders. The pain kept me up most nights. I could barely walk, but I still had to go to work all in extreme pain!
I took Celebrex and I had Supartz injections. They all worked at first but pain came back quicker each time between shots. My doctor told me that eventually I would need total knee replacements but at 58 years old I was not ready for that yet.
Since completing Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program I am sleeping through the night. My pain level has decreased considerably. I’m able to walk briskly without wobbling from side to side. Going up stairs and ladders is much easier. The swelling has gone down so much I can actually see my knees again!
I am absolutely, without a doubt, pleased with the results from Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program!!!My mobility has increased at least 80%. My pain level has decreased by 90%. This knee treatment has made me a happier and a more pleasant person again! Thank You!!!”

Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program Allows Arlington Resident to No Longer Experience Knee Pain from Medial Meniscus Tear and Arthritis of the Knee
The following story is from Susan S., a physical education teacher from Arlington, Texas. The MRI of her knee indicated she had a medial meniscus tear, degenerative arthritis of the knee, and fluid/swelling around the knee joint. The orthopedic surgeon wanted to do arthroscopic knee surgery to ‘clean up’ her knee, but Mrs. S knew there was a better option…Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program.
“I had a very swollen right knee and I had a pain level of 9. I limped severely and had to a take a steroid called prednisone. I could not walk without limping. Driving hurt my knee. I could not walk long distances, hula hoop, dance, or use my Wii for my leg exercises activities. I had an MRI of my knee [which showed arthritis in the knee and a medial meniscus tear]. I was told [by the orthopedic doctor] that I had to have arthroscopic knee surgery. I did not like that option. I researched online for an alternate procedure and found cold laser therapy. I did not waste any time getting cold laser therapy because I am a physical education teacher.
I am thrilled with the overall experience and my results with Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program. I feel my overall improvement is 85%. I’m out of pain. I do not take any medicine. I do not limp anymore. I can bicycle and walk long distances [without experiencing any knee pain]. The swelling in my knee was reduced to less than 20%. Driving does not hurt my knee. I’m not tired from performing my job anymore. I’m happy with my results from [Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program]. I highly recommend cold laser therapy for anyone with pain, swelling or knee pain or limping. “

Incorrect Placement Of Needle: One More Reason Why Knee Injections Aren’t Effective On Patients With Osteoarthritis Knee Pain
Research presented at the 2010 Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals found most doctors performing knee injections on patients with osteoarthritis of the knee were not placing the needle in the correct location in order for the knee injection to be effective. Interestingly, when interviewed, these doctors who are specialists in performing knee injections were 95% certain that they were placing the needle in the correct location of the knee joint. 1
The point of the research was to support the use of the ultrasound- guided method of giving knee injections rather than the standard palpation technique that is most commonly used in doctors’ offices-AND FAILS!
Besides inaccurate placement of the needle leading to poor outcomes for patients choosing to have knee injections; here are a few interesting facts you should know about knee injections. (for example, hyaluronic acid injections: aka rooster comb injections: aka gel injections, SYNVISC®, Euflexxa®, Orthovisc®, Hyalgan®, Suppartz®)
- In multiple studies, researchers found that knee injections are as effective as placebo injections2,3,4, and that 80% of their effectiveness was due to the placebo effect.5
- Anti-inflammatory drugs are 48 times more effective then knee injections.6
- If pain-relief was experienced it occurred after the draining of the fluid in the knee; a step taken prior to the actual knee injection being performed.

Exercise Induced Leg Cramps or Leg Cramps Associated with Knee Pain?
Exercise enthusiasts, specifically marathon runners often suffer from leg cramps. An often overlooked remedy for this problem is pickle juice. NFL athletic trainers use pickle juice, which is a mixture of vinegar, salt and water to help football players stave off muscle cramps after a long training day. Pickle juice has a ton of sodium, and also offers potassium and magnesium. All of which have been credited to get rid of exercise induced cramping in the calves.
On the other hand, individuals with knee pain who do not exercise but complain of having cramps in their calves should not ingest pickle juice since these type of leg cramps are NOT DUE TO EXERCISE. Instead try stretching your calves. First, put comfortable shoes on, then stand and place the ball of your foot up against the wall and lean into the wall. Hold this stretch for 10 seconds and repeat this 5 times. You should feel this stretch in your calf muscle. Of course this stretch won’t get rid of your knee pain, but it will help ease the pain of those cramped calves, which tend to get your attention at night when your trying to sleep.

Chilean Rescued Miner Fights Through Knee Pain While Running New York City Marathon
Should He Really Have Suffered Through It?
Edison Pena, one of the rescued Chilean Miners and huge Elvis fan, told the New York Post on Sunday, “Running 26.2 miles in New York is torture.” He was able to run the first half of the marathon but then his knees started hurting and he had to walk the last 12 miles. He strapped ice packs to both knees which he initially injured during the 69 days he was trapped in the mine.
“Bad, bad, bad, very bad.” He told the New York Post reporter as he walked past the 20th mile marker. “My knees hurt a lot.”
As he crossed the finish line he stated,”…I struggled with myself, I struggled with my own pain, but I made it to the finish line.”
One can only admire Mr. Pena’s determination in completing this arduous marathon. However, a lesson can definitely be taken away from his example. When it comes to knee pain please don’t follow the old adage ‘no pain, no gain.’ This is completely untrue when it comes to the human body. If you are experiencing knee pain while exercising STOP otherwise you may be further damaging your knees.
I really hope Mr. Pena’s’ knees fully recover from his decision to complete the New York City Marathon. Unfortunately, if his knees continue to hurt he may want to consider getting Cold Laser Therapy knee treatments to relieve his knee pain.
Who knows? Maybe he’ll visit me at the DFW Spine & Joint Center, and complete my Cold Laser Knee Program. I would be honored to treat a hero.

Knee Pain from Baker’s Cyst, Chondromalacia Patella Keeps Gym Teacher from Enjoying Life!
Dee D., a physical education teacher, long time runner, and volleyball referee suffered with knee pain from a baker’s cyst and ‘Runner’s Knee’ for over 5 years until she discovered Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program. Here is her story.
“Before cold laser treatments my knee was stiff and swollen. My mobility was limited and some movements were painful. Standing for long periods of time and walking down stairs was painful. Before cold laser treatments I tried managing the pain with ice and anti-inflammatory medicine.
Since completing cold laser treatments I can stand all day pain-free, walk down stairs pain free, and even jog relatively pain-free. I am very pleased with my overall experience and results. I would say that my overall percentage of improvement is 90%. From the very first treatment, I have felt improvement. My knee is not as swollen, so my overall mobility has increased and my pain level has decreased to pain-free. Now I can stand all day, walk down stairs, and even jog relatively pain-free. I highly recommend cold laser treatments.”

Chondromalacia Patella and Meniscus Tear Knee Pain is Almost Eliminated Since Completing Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program
Father Paul drove to Irving every week from Harper, Texas to complete Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program, so that he could avoid having to undergo knee surgery for a meniscus tear and chondromalacia patella.
This is what he had to say about his knee treatments…
“The pain was moderate and consistent especially on the IT band (iliotibial band). I could not kneel [to pray]. I was told that I needed knee surgery [but instead] I took pain pills, I had physical therapy, and one cortisone shot. [Nothing worked so I decided to try Dr. Schnee’s treatments.]
Since completing Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program I can now walk better, without much pain. I am very pleased with my results. The overall percentage of improvement is about 90%.”

Use What Works For Treating Knee Pain-Conventional VS. Alternative Knee Treatments
I came across an e-mail today from a former patient who I had treated in 2007 for knee pain from a meniscus tear. He wrote to me saying that my Cold Laser treatment program ‘fixed his knee right up’ and he hasn’t had any problems in his knee since. He continued to write, “Everyone in Wichita Falls including my primary care doctor knows about you, and how your cold laser knee program saved me from knee surgery.”
This news alone gave me a sense of satisfaction.
Nothing makes me happier then to have former patients writing me saying that they have no more knee pain after completing my Cold Laser Knee Program.
Even though I have hundreds of success stories from individuals telling me that their able to avoid knee surgery after completing my treatment program; I am a realist and I know that not all patients will respond to care. Just like not everyone will respond to knee surgery. Sometimes the solution to your knee pain isn’t clear cut, and it needs multiple methods to treat it. There are conditions in which using ‘alternative’ treatments like cold laser therapy; in conjunction with ‘conventional’ medicine can be the best solutions for treating your knee pain.
For example, I consulted with an individual years ago that had no choice but to get knee surgery because he had a bucket handle tear (a rare type of meniscus tear that causes mechanical instability and a great deal of pain). While the surgery corrected the instability in the knee it didn’t relieve him of all of the pain, tightness, and swelling around the ligaments and muscles. So three months after he had knee surgery he started my cold laser knee program. And at the end of five weeks he was pain-free and the swelling was completely gone. In this case by using a combination of both conventional and ‘alternative’ treatments his orthopedic doctor and I were able to get him the best results.
The bottom line is you should do whatever works! Obviously, if your condition allows, leave knee surgery as the final option after all conservative methods have been exhausted. But if you have no choice and you have to undergo knee surgery, keep an open mind; don’t cut yourself off to the possibility of having a team of doctor’s in different fields working on treating your knee. Certain conditions of the knee respond best by combining both conventional and ‘alternative’ care methods.

Learn How Patient Avoided Knee Replacement Surgery and Got Knee Pain Relief with Cold Laser Therapy in Dallas, Texas
Mr. Royce R., a retired military man, drove three hours each way twice a week for 10 weeks from Henrietta, Texas to the DFW Spine & Joint Center in Irving, Texas for cold laser treatments to get knee pain relief. The following is what Mr. R wrote, about his knee condition before Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program and after he completed treatments. (He gave us permission to shae his testimonial.)
The pain in my right knee was excruciating. It felt raw and like it was bleeding on the inside. [I had to use a cane and wear knee braces to get around]. My left knee was showing signs of wear and tear from having to carry the added tasks to compensate for the pain I was having in my right knee. All activities felt like chores to perform. It got to the point that I was dreading getting out of bed, walking, even riding in a car for short or long distances. I was told by the orthopedic surgeon that I needed total knee replacements immediately. I did not want to have knee surgery [so he sent me to a physical therapist. The physical therapist felt that if he did exercises with me that my knees would get worse. So I told him about what I had read about cold laser therapy and Dr. Schnee and he told me to go for it.]
I started Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program and after just the first knee treatment I could feel a difference. I was able to perform activities that required the use of my knees. [Now] It feels great to be able to do things like walking, yard work, etc. without being concerned about the pain in my knees. My overall improvement is a 360 degree difference. I can now stand longer, I can walk without pain. I can drive for lengthy distances! It’s easier to get in and out of the car and take out my lawn equipment. I have hardly any pain when I’m bending down to pick up objects. [I don’t even use a cane anymore to get around].
I came into Dr. Schnee’s office worried about [the possibility of having to get] knee replacements, and injections. [I was also worried about the cold laser treatments and if they would work] but now I can truthfully say that the treatment s have dispelled all [skepticism]. I tell everybody about my results and I highly recommend them to have it done! [I’m so happy the physical therapist was honest with me and advised me to try cold laser therapy first!]

Avoid Knee Replacement Surgery with Cold Laser Therapy | Dallas-Fort Worth
Learn how patient avoided knee replacement surgery, got knee pain relief w/ Cold Laser Therapy Knee Program Dallas-Fort Worth, TX from Dr. Schnee, D.C.
Are You Living With ‘Bone On Bone’ Knee Pain Because You Don’t Think You Have Any Other Options Besides Knee Surgery? Think Again.
Most of the time patients complaining of ‘bone on bone’ knee pain are told that total knee replacements are their only option, and are never given any other alternatives in order to delay or avoid knee surgery. So rather than go under the knife many individuals just choose to ‘live with the pain.’
Just because you don’t want knee surgery doesn’t mean you have to live with ‘bone on bone’ knee pain. These days there are painless and less-invasive alternatives to surgery that may provide you with knee pain relief so that you can avoid or delay knee surgery. Total knee replacements should only be considered once all other conservative measures have been exhausted and have failed to provide relief.
Why?
The most obvious reason is because ‘knee replacement parts’ are never as good as the knees you were born with. A knee replacement has a limited life span. It is not an easy surgery to recover from, and there are a myriad of complications and risks associated with it.
The rehabilitation that an individual has to endure after the surgery is NOT for the weak at heart. It is painful! If you don’t believe me just ask anyone who’s had a total knee replacement.
This leads me to my next point:
Why resign yourself to living with knee pain? Why not be pro-active and do whatever you can to delay or avoid knee surgery?
This includes losing weight, taking supplements/vitamins and if you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area consider my Cold Laser Knee Program.
My Cold Laser Knee Program is tailored to an individual’s condition. In the case of ‘bone on bone knee pain,’ cold lasers work on the source of the pain by reducing inflammation and irritation to the synovium and nerve endings thereby relieving the pain. Cold Lasers work on a cellular level to boost the metabolic rate of the cells that make up cartilage, muscles, ligaments, tendons etc… As a result, the cells heal and repair themselves faster and their physiological responses improve.
My Cold Laser Knee Program also incorporates specific exercises to strengthen the muscles around the knee to reduce stress on the joint thereby helping maintain any cartilage that is remaining. Finally, other forms of physiotherapy are utilized to help improve blood flow, reduce swelling, improve flexibility/range of motion, and reduce adhesions in the surrounding tissues.
