Hundreds of thousands of people in the US seek treatment for knee pain each year and for good reason. If you suffer from a painful knee condition, then you already know that it can be debilitating. Missing out on some of life’s simple pleasures; like going for a walk with family or playing with your children or grandchildren can leave you feeling depressed and frustrated.
Since 2001, Dr. Alexandra Schnee, DC has helped hundreds of patients recover from difficult knee problems with her Cold Laser Knee Program™. Most of her former patients needlessly suffered from moderate to severe chronic knee pain for years that prevented them from performing normal daily activities. Many patients sought treatment because they had difficulty walking, standing, climbing stairs or even sleeping comfortably at night. Each of these prior patients sought a safe, painless conservative treatment to relieve the pain; and most importantly improve their quality of life without having to undergo expensive and invasive surgery.
Cold laser therapy is painless and non-invasive. This technology has been used by healthcare professionals for over 35 years and has been cleared by the FDA for use in the United States since 2001. Cold Lasers have been proven effective and used to help treat a multitude of knee conditions; relieving pain, reducing inflammation, and promoting and stimulating the healing process on a cellular level. Dr. Schnee, DC utilizes cold laser therapy (aka low laser therapy) to create a unique treatment, the Active Relief Laser Knee Technique™ that is used in her Cold Laser Knee Program™. This treatment helps patients get the knee pain relief they want without the use of invasive surgery, injections, or medications. If you are experiencing knee pain, why not talk to Dr. Schnee DC about your options?
Knee Pain Treatment Options
In the past, options for treatment of serious knee conditions were limited. Pain medication merely masks the issue. Cortisone injections or other anti-inflammatory drugs may help only temporarily and may cause further joint degeneration. Thus over 600,000 people annually feel they have no choice but to have invasive surgery and are laid up for months while completing painful and grueling rehabilitation. None of these options are ideal when you consider cost, time of recovery, or permanency.
The past decade or so has seen an enormous revival of interest in more alternatives to surgery, injections, and medications. Additionally, emphasis on prevention through active lifestyle has increased in the medical field. For example, the LA times recently published this article which shows how recent research supports daily walking as a preventative measure for the development of arthritis and even as a potential means of slowing the advancement of an existing arthritic knee condition.
In conjunction with a healthy lifestyle, Cold Laser Therapy can effectively address knee problems that many thought could only be dealt with through surgery.
With so many individuals seeking more sustainable, less invasive and less drug-oriented modes of treatment, Dr. Schnee’s Cold Laser Knee Program™ can provide effective results that are painless, without the harmful side effects, and at a fraction of the cost of traditional knee surgery.

Proof Lasers Work - Scientific Research Papers
There are hundreds of studies including double blind studies that have proven the efficacy of cold laser therapy for knee pain. Below are just a handful of published studies discussing the benefits:
Osteoarthritis Knee Pain and Bone on Bone Knee Pain:
In 2010, Dr. Schnee DC was one of a handful of doctors, invited to discuss her clinical findings at the annual North American Association of Laser Therapy conference in Wisconsin. She found that 79.8% of patients with moderate to severe bone on bone arthritis knee pain reported feeling moderately better to a great deal better after completing her treatments. None of them experienced more knee pain or any negative effects after the treatments.
Again in May 2014, Dr.Schnee, DC completed a similar study but with a larger group of patients (302 patients representing 420 knees). The study found that 82.4% of those patients with moderate to severe arthritis knee pain found that their knee or knees were moderately to a great deal better when they completed care. Again none of them experienced more knee pain or had negative side-effects. Dr. Schnee, DC has been asked to speak and present her findings at the 2014 World Association for Laser Therapy and North American Association for Laser Therapy joint convention. Her abstract was chosen amongst hundreds.
The outcomes of both studies confirmed that that low-level laser therapy significantly improves the overall quality of life and related factors for patients diagnosed with moderate to severe bone on bone osteoarthritis knee pain.
